Neighbourhood Link Update – Criminal Damage (NL57 Beat)

We are making residents aware that there have been recent reports of criminal damage across the NL57 beat, including damage to properties and vehicles.

While enquiries are ongoing, we are asking residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to help us prevent further incidents.

Crime prevention advice:

If you have a driveway or parking area, consider using motion-sensor lighting or CCTV where possible.

Ensure vehicles are locked and parked in well-lit or secure locations.

Where possible, park vehicles off the road and close to your property.

Secure garden items, tools, and bins that could be used to cause damage.

Check fences, gates, and sheds are well maintained and secure.

Speak with neighbours and look out for each other’s property, especially overnight.

Report any suspicious behaviour, groups, or vehicles seen in the area.

If you are a victim of criminal damage, please report it online or by calling 101. In an emergency or if a crime is happening, always call 999.
